My 6 AM Adventure

This morning S.D. decided to wake up at 6 am, instead of her normal 7:30-8 schedule. She was hungry...so I nursed. Of course she fell asleep about 6 minutes in, so I decided to wake her back up and to get a full feeding in, I would go ahead and change her diaper.
Bad Idea.

So as I lay her on her changing table, she begins to spit up. Her diaper is already off, and although there is poop all over her rear end, I decide to pick her up to help her with her spit up, which happens to go all over my shoulder.

Obviously at that point she was very well relaxed and decided to pee all down my shirt (in addition to the spit-up), down my pants, on the carpet and on the changing pad. Marvelous. Good thing I have a great husband that I woke up to help me. I'm trying to get a new diaper on and change my own clothes while he is grabbing towels to clean up the carpet and change the diaper changing pad cover...

Needless to say, it was a wonderful way to start the morning.

Gleason Photo Session

Our first photo session as a family! Shelbia Drew did great, and even Lucy Belle was in for the fun...for about 5 seconds...then she spotted a ball/squirrel/something in the back yard that she had to go chase! A special thanks to LaJuan for connecting us with her sister-in-law, Julia who did these for us.

Weight Watchers has begun

Sean and I have decided to do weight watchers...well, I'm doing it online, and he is following along, he is such a trooper! I've got to shed a few more LB's before I'm back to pre-pregnancy clothes/size/weight. Thank goodness for the Michael Jackson Wii game Santa brought me for Christmas, it's kicking my butt!

Before you know it, Sean and I will look like this....

JUST KIDDING!!! I've heard she only eats shrimp and fruit...I mean, we live in Alabama (meaning I can't give up gravy-n-biscuits or pound cake) not in L.A....we also don't have a private chef or personal trainer. This is more of a reality....

Just pray we can keep our sanity! So far everything is working out great!

LUCY BELLE AND THE NASAL ASPIRATOR

Lucy is not a fan of S.D.'s nasal aspirator....for some reason she gets a little crazy when she sees it...

Lessons in Mommyhood...This is just the beginning

What a great way to get ready for company coming over today! Shelbia Drew just got finished eating, so it was time for a diaper change...and not 2.4 seconds after her diaper was removed...

PPPPEEEEEEE......all the way up her back. YAY!

So then I think, it's time for a bath...and if she's in the bath, I might as well wash that full head of hair...

Let's take this opportunity to change her into a cute little outfit so she looks like a true southern belle when company gets here. Done. Her new black Saints outfit from Aunt Kim. After a few pictures and the hopes that her first words will be "WHO DAT"...what do you know....

Yummy milky spit up all over a new black dress. Mommyhood lesson learned: if it's not coming out one end, its coming out of the other, and no outfit, no matter how cute is safe from the infamous spit-up.

We were out shopping on Sunday, and I found these awesome Sunglasses. She's sleeping, but you can't tell! So stinking cute!

Six Weeks Old Already!

Wednesday marked Stinker's 6 week birthday! I'm really looking forward to this "sleeping through the night" thing that everyone keeps talking about. I can't remember the last time I have seen more than 4 hours of sleep!!! In fact, about 2 nights ago I dreamed she slept for 6 hours...so much for wishful thinking!

Sean is having a hard time getting her to take to a bottle, so I'm taking my friend's advice and going to try a few new types of bottles...I just hope she gets used to the idea before my mom gets in town in 2 weeks...
