Blessed!

So, I was driving today and just thinking...clearly. I mean, this is far from me trying to turn off my television with my car keys or thinking my washing machine is outside. It just became heavy in my heart today in realizing how blessed the Lord has made my life. Even though things are CRAZY right now with the Holidays right around the corner, and I'm in the middle of planning my daughter's first birthday party, the Lord has continue to provide happiness and patience to me. God knows I need that right now. The transition with Sean's new job was a little tough, but with these blessings we have been able to work through it, and still take at least one night a week for just us.

I want to be able to forward on these blessings and I know the best way to do that is to share with my loved ones what God has done in my life. I've realized that no matter how far away my family is, they still love me, and they are still here! I hope that God puts peace in their hearts about the space between us too.

Fighting Back My Bittersweet Tears...

Here it is...Her FIRST haircut...well, this is how we started out...

I would say she is pretty happy here!

Words cannot express this photo. I have a feeling that I will be getting a lot more of these looks as my life goes on.
Here is the end result. Such a sweet baby girl. She did so well...as long as we kept yogurt bites and books in front of her :)

It's Fall, Y'all

It's my favorite time of year, again! We have kicked off the fall with planting some mums in the front and back yards, going to the pumpkin patch and of course, watching football Thursday-Monday! Although I have no pics of my mums, or tablescape, I've got plenty of our little stinker so far this fall!

Our Family Vacation

After celebrating a wonderful promotion at work, Sean and I were in need of a vacation. We started Saturday with one night in Birmingham, and S.D. took her first flight to Daytona Beach! We visited with family, the beach and some great food. We concluded our week with an Alabama game! Roll Tide! Hope you enjoy the photos!

Here, SD playing with her blocks on the deck at the Lake!

Sean having fun with SD!

SD watching Lucy play with her softball.

MY LAKE DOG!!!! Lucy is never happier than she is at the lake. Yes, she slept the entire way home, went to bed at 6pm and woke at 8am.

Kicking butt at the Alabama game. Arkansas went down in flames!

On my way to Bryant Denny!

Tailgating at the Bama Game! Roll Tide!

James and Sean!

She loved the window seat!

Daddy loves Daughter. Perfect day at the beach!

Yummy....sand.

The water made her so happy!

The Gleason Fam before lunch. The chocolate factory was next door, where I was so excited to go on the "chocolate tour," which turned out to be a COMPLETE BUST! I was disappointed, but hey, we got to try chocolate covered potato chips!

Aunt Heather and SD by the pool at MeMaw and PaPa's!

"What are you looking at me like that for, G'ma?" I loved this picture.

Fun times!

A great vacation seeing family and friends. Thanks for sharing with us!

Date Night

I have the BEST husband! After about 2 LONG weeks of Sean working late almost every night to try to finish out the month strong, he planned a GREAT date night at Osman's, my new favorite restaurant. We had a wonderful meal!

Oh, and I got to go have my nails done yesterday too, so I was actually able to feel really pretty last night, instead of sporting my usual t-shirt, hair pulled back, no make up, and spit up perfume! It was probably really nice for Sean to see what his wife really looks like too.

I feel refreshed now. That was really something I needed and Sean did a super job. I love you baby!

Let's Catch Up!

What a June it has been!!! It's been a while since I've blogged due to our UNREAL social calendar...I mean....I guess the Gleason's are kind of a big deal...JUST KIDDING! We've had: Jake Pilger's birthday, John Pilger's birthday, Sean Gleason's Birthday, Fallon Gleason's Birthday, Father's day, Berkeley Mac Dees' birthday, Mark and Tina's wedding and shower, Brandon and Holley's shower, a trip to the lake...shall I go on???? Honestly, we are so blessed God has given us these wonderful friends!
Anyway, the stink-bug had her check-up today and she's still fat. Just kidding, she's just a little chunk. 90th percentile in height and weight, but that's what she needs! She's gonna be burning off all of those calories because she is CRAWLING NOW!!! What?!?!?! Yes. My child is a prodigy. I'm not afraid to admit it.
This photo was taken at the lake. Man, did she have a blast! She hasn't quite found her fins yet...but all in due time.
This one on the other hand is a LAKE-DOG if I have ever seen one. She'll give a lab a run for his money (aka dog bones/balls). We were trying to keep up with her more than Shelbi Drew!

Thank for checking out my post this month!

My day so far....

So, I get up this morning (after S.D. slept 11 hours for the forth day in a row :)) and I think to myself on how I imagine my day going:

Feed S.D., drop by Brown Eyed Girl to take a look at this super awesome dress, go see the Loyds and their new bundle :), come home, lay S.D. down for a nap, clean the house and make a great meal for my hubby!

How did my day actually go?

Wake up..."Are those thrown up carrots in my baby's bed, AND in her hair, WITH snot?" When did sleeping turn your child into a sloppy monster? Feed, and Bathe. Diaper change...and spit up...(she saves it for just the right time)

Nap (SD)...awesome

Brown Eyed Girl, Super Awesome Dress just a little to short for my liking (Dang! I was so Lady Gaga-ish...I really wanted it to go well) and baby Brooks is good.

Home. Nap...not so awesome. Let me mop my floor, why is that when I mop my floor the mop can pick up dust and dirt from other places and seem to just dirty up your floor more? Dry and now sweep...again? Really?

SD playing....did she really just throw up carrots again? So glad her houndstooth blanket is now orange. Oh wait...stop the dog from licking it up! GROSS LUCY! What? Lucy, why do you have a flea on you? Lets put the baby in the crib for a nap while I bathe you! Why is SD still crying??? Why does it take an entire magic eraser to clean my bathtub? Why is the baby still crying??? Where does all this snot come from? Why do I continue to step on this rattle in the middle of my living room? I swear I clean it up every day!! Where is my clean, yet DAMP dog? Oh, in the CLEAN clothes on the couch waiting to be folded and put away because laundry never ends! Oh crap! I forgot I put on some water on the stove to make sweet tea!

Mommyhood lesson: Plan my day better. Magic Eraser and Baby Einstein are now my best friends. And apparantly the dog will eat anything, because even regurgitated it still taste better than that dry crap I put in her bowl. Maybe I should just start saving my $18.

now...I will be making dinner. No carrots.
